Account

An account is the CRM record for a company you do business with; contacts, deals, quotes and cases are linked to it.

An account is the CRM record for a company you do business with or want to. The people who work there, the deals opened, quotes sent, orders and support cases are all linked to the account.

Difference from a contact

A contact is a person; an account is the organisation that person works for. An account can have several contacts: a buyer, a technical lead, a finance manager. In B2B sales the decision usually belongs to the account, not to a single person.

A good account record

  • One record per company (no duplicates),
  • An owner rep,
  • Billing details such as tax information and address,
  • Fields that help reporting, such as industry and region.

In CRModular

In the CRModular interface accounts appear as Müşteriler (Customers). The account record brings together contacts, opportunities, quotes, orders, contracts and support cases; duplicate rules can prevent the same company from being created twice. Related terms: Lead, Opportunity.
